Our Team

Keith Saver

Keith Saver is a data scientist with experience at Shopify and Pear Therapeutics, where he worked on turning user engagement and behavioral data into insights that shape product decisions. His work has spanned consumer tech and health platforms, with a focus on how people engage with products over time.

At Gaming for Growth, Keith leads the data science and research strategy behind the organization's work. He applies the same approach he used studying patient engagement in health platforms to studying player engagement and wellbeing in games.

Keith has also competed in League of Legends, Team Fight Tactics, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. He brings a player's perspective to the research alongside a data scientist's.

Executive Director

Sean Luo

Dr. Sean Luo is a board-certified addiction psychiatrist, Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University's Division on Substance Use Disorders, and a Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in computational and theoretical neuroscience at Columbia, and his research applies statistics, machine learning, and neuroscience-based methods to addiction, including predictive models that help match patients with substance use disorders to the treatments most likely to work for them.

At Gaming for Growth, Sean brings this same clinical and data-driven lens to the study of gaming behavior, helping the team understand where gaming supports mental health and where it risks tipping into harm. His work grounds G4G's research in clinical credibility and deep experience working with behavioral data at scale.
